Bluesfest Melbourne

As much as we loved presenting Bluesfest in Melbourne in 2023, we have made the decision not to proceed in 2024. There are a number of reasons for this decision, not restricted to, the non-availability due to tightening Government budgets, of any level of Government support to assist the growth of this new city-based festival such as the grant which allowed Bluesfest to come to Melbourne for the first time in 2023, as well as global logistical, cost and creative issues, and artist availability etc.

We look forward to sitting down with government and other stakeholders and seeing if we can create a way forward to come back to Melbourne in 2025. We thank all those who supported us at Bluesfest Melbourne in 2023 and remind all blues and roots music fans that Bluesfest Byron Bay will be presented for the 35th time between 28 March and 1 April 2024.
